Declivity (original title: Déclivité) (2014)
Film
Duration 6’37 min, digital HD color 16/9

In an almost empty room, a woman is smoking, sitting in an armchair. She burns her leg several times with her cigarette, for fun. Her lover enters the room and embraces her. They locked themselves in their apartment. Their slow gestures oscillate between tenderness and brutality, in the manner of some silent rituals interrupted with empty landscapes.

This film was made during a workshop supervised by Philippe Grandrieux at Marseille Public College for Artistic Studies (INSEAMM). It premiered at FIDMarseille 2014 - Marseille’s International Festival of Cinema.
